Where It All Began
Some of our most meaningful conversations happened around the kitchen table.
As mother and daughter, we spent years sharing life together, celebrating milestones, supporting each other through challenges, and talking about everything in between.
One topic always seemed to come up.
The way clothing could completely change how someone feels.
We watched people around us become more confident when they found something that truly suited them.
And we also saw the opposite.
Closets filled with clothes that no longer felt right.
Pieces bought on impulse but rarely worn.
Outfits that looked beautiful on a hanger, but never quite felt like "you."
OUR PHILOSOPHY
As the years passed, we began to notice something.
The conversations we were having weren't unique to us.
Friends, family members, and people we met along the way were all saying the same thing.
They weren't looking for wardrobes full of clothing.
They were looking for a few pieces they could truly rely on.
Pieces that felt comfortable from the moment they put them on.
Pieces that never felt overcomplicated.
Pieces they could reach for again and again, knowing they would feel confident wearing them.
The more we listened, the more convinced we became that fashion didn't need to be complicated to be beautiful.
What started as countless conversations between a mother and daughter slowly grew into something much bigger.
An idea that eventually became Avelique Montréal.
Not because we set out to build a fashion brand.
But because we wanted to create the kind of collection we had spent years searching for ourselves.
And even today, that same belief guides every decision we make.
